Marcus Holdsworth - (double bass, electric bass, trombone and sousaphone and vocals) is a frequent performer at various festivals including the Broke Festival, Merimbula Jazz Festival, Morpeth Jazz Festival, Newcastle Jazz Festival, Illawarra Jazz Festival, Dubbo Jazz Festival, Chapel Jazz and in the orchestra pit of numerous musical productions (Chicago, A Funny Thing Happened, Sound of Music etc). Marcus performed with jazz trios After Three and Swingmania, with The Tiger Ragtime Jazz Band, The Morpeth Jugbusters, and with the salsa band Chunky Salsa and has played in brass and concert bands across NSW for over 40 years (even overseas).
Chris Gill - (saxophones, clarinet, percussion and vocals), musician and music teacher, has an extensive jazz biography, accompanying artists as diverse as Ricky May and Veneta Fields.Since1983 Chris has been playing with Alan Ward’s Big Band and played for five years with The Dungeon Big Band. Recent work has included playing in several jazz trios and quartets including Two Phat, and The Saxby Gill Duo. Chris has performed withThe Tiger Ragtime Jazz Band ,The Morpeth Jugbusters, The Newcastle Dixieland Jazz Band and has played with the salsa band Chunky Salsa. He has performed at the Broke Festival and Jazz Festivals in Morpeth, Newcastle, and Dubbo.
Manny Serrano - (trumpet, saxophone, flute and vocals) has many years of experience in the Newcastle music scene, including the 70’s club band, Nodes Levity and seven years with Latinova. Manny’s many jazz credits include performing alongside James Morrison, backing Sue Cruickshank, performing with the big band Sophisticated Swing, Latin bands Poco Loco, The Cappuccinos, and appearances with Wobbly Boot, JazzSerenade, and The Tiger Ragtime Jazz Band. Manny has performed at the Dungog Jazz Festival and several times at the Newcastle Jazz Festival and Chapel Jazz. Manny currently plays with the jazz trio, Swingmania, and salsa band Chunky Salsa.
David Baker - (guitar, banjo guitar, vocals) has an extensive musical career, initially in Sydney, including a four year residency with a jazz band in Sydney’s Rocks district, and a residency at North Sydney’s Asian Food Market with the jazz guitar duo, Metrognomes. He has also performed with jazz trios, Swingmania and After Three , and with The Tiger Ragtime Jazz Band and The Morpeth Jugbusters. David has performed at the Broke festival, Maitland’s Steamfest, Mayfield Blues Festival, Berry Blues Festival, frequently at Newcastle Jazz Festival, Dungog Jazz Festival, Merimbula Jazz Festival, Illawarra Jazz Festival, Dubbo Jazz Festival and frequently at the Morpeth Jazz Festival and now Chapel Jazz.
